One of Jennas friends left the sliding glass door open this evening (after we explicitly told them not to because the cat would get out) and Quincy got out. She was quite panicked even after we found him. He had gone down the stairs from the deck and into the back yard. Lonnie asked her if she was scared and she said, I was so scared I felt like I was going to burst like a deer on the side of the road thats all bloated. So...last week while we were out we saw a doe on the side of the road that had been hit by a car. A day or so later I pointed out the condition of the aforementioned doe who was now rather rotund and explained to her what happens...death+heat+internal gas+organ breakdown = bloating. This child can take what she learns and apply it in ways I could never dream of.
