One of my devotions this morning from Steve Hill Ministries... Thoughts allowed in the heart soon steer the will. We won’t be responsible for the vile thoughts that approach if we don’t welcome or harbor them. We are responsible only for the way we treat these evil suggestions. Drive them from the door, refuse them and they will soon tire of trying to enter. Fill the mind with pure, good meditations, and bolt the entrance from evil thoughts. An empty mind is a constant invitation for evil thoughts to enter and control. The mind will corrupt itself and generate evil thoughts just because it is empty. Impure thoughts will soon destroy us, while godly thoughts will lead us to the perfect will of God. Friend, renewing our minds every day on God’s Word isn’t a pleasant suggestion, it’s a survival tactic. Exodus 30; John 9; Proverbs 6; Galatians 5
