One of my friends shared a recent experience she had. In the post she made here on FB, she narrated how she was treated shabbily by folks at a restaurant while some non-black peeps - wouldnt say white, Chinese and co no be white - were treated much better than she was. Her experiences mirror what some of us experience at the hands of our fellow Nigerians here in our very own country. Our own brothers and sisters in restaurants, supermarkets, hotels and et cetera discriminate against us vis-a-vis service delivery and the provision of opportunities. I see it all as some sort of racism borne out of a deeply kolo, colonial-inspired inferiority complex. Who would value you if you do not value your own? Oh well, if you wish to understand how come foreigners come to our land and treat our people like shit, just go to some places. You will understand this: we are the ones who give them the chutzpah to act like dicks and cunts here. Selah.
