One of my most often gripes about early American hardcore punk records, tapes, and 7s is that the production value on the mixes were so shit-tastic. Although we came to love the sound of that echo in the Gorilla Biscuits studio recordings, or the fuzz factor on Poison Idea records, or even hell, The Misfits famously over-dubbed bass tracks on all the albums. Sure, it created a sound that was unique, but sometimes I think that most of those recordings would be kick-ass remastered and released after a remixing of them. So in that spirit: what one album would you remaster if you could? Id take Angry Samoans Back from Samoa for a tune up.
