One of my new clients is a chihuahua. I have to admit I never thought I was a small dog person - I always wanted a dog that you could touch when walking along without bending down. But little Bindi has broken that preconception. She is a gorgeous little girl who I treat with two fingers instead of palm of my hand as she sits on my lap rather than lying on the floor in front of me. And boy, does she love her massage. She actually prefers the deep tissue stuff over the stroking moves. After 15 minutes she is typically fast asleep in my lap snoring. The trust she gives me is remarkable, going totally limp in my arms while I lift legs, stretch joints, massage toes and work along her back. But like so many other dogs, she can tell the time. As the end of the treatment hour approaches, she wakes up, stretches and clambers off my lap back to her mum. Adorable.
