One of my professors in college shared this story with his class. True story. While in school and needing a car I was able to buy a beat up old VW Bug. It did not pass inspection but the mechanic said he would let it slide for one year just to be a help. I wanted my car to look good so I spent hours washing and waxing it. My car LOOKED good. I was proud of my hard work. The next day while getting out of my car a man pulled up next to me in a Rolls Royce. When a Rolls leaves the factory it gets more than two dozen hand buffed coats of was. That car was an awesome sight. Sitting next to his you could see every flaw in my car No amount of work on the outside can cover up our defects deep within. Until what is within is fixed we are just shining messes.
