One of my quick written-in-the-caff ones from this morning: Cartoon I long to find a metaphor somewhere amongst the haunted funfairs and the deserted cowboy towns and the spooky graveyards. Sometimes I think my search for metaphors may in itself be a metaphor. But anyway: she told me Scooby-Doo and I were of a similar vintage and so I had to look it up. And Im actually seven years older than him. Although, if you use my logic, Im also seven years older than Fred, Velma, Daphne and Shaggy. It was the predictability of the unmasking that thrilled so. And Velma was always more enticing than Daphne. Sometimes I think Im riding that ghost train over and over: sometimes Fred, sometimes Shaggy, sometimes the baddie.
