One of my regrets in this life of mine that has flown by way too fast...and I have numerous regrets, and totally dismiss anyone saying they have none or wouldnt change a thing as bullshit artists...is simply wishing I had valued taking pics throughout my life....SOOO many people, places, events, and simple pleasures I cannot reflect upon the way I would like. Of course, poor memory has its benefits as well, like not recalling painful memories...but back to pictures, these days seems everyone takes plenty of em....we are flooded with many pics with not much substance except to the owner of the picture who sees what the lay person does not, much like my Pookie pics which have led some to seriously worry about my mental state. When pics with substance, those that really move you or say important or meaningful stuff, come thru they tap into something in me in a huge way. Take the pics in this post...starting with the three boys in the baseball uniforms. Thank you Virginia Seay Fleener for letting me share this pic...If anyone does not agree it captures the essence of boyhood during that age, I would love to hear why you think it doesnt....LOOK at their faces!! Their body language, their joy found in being kids, friends, teammates.....Awesome pic!!! The other two are from a friend of mine in my GSP group (german shorthair pointer)....sadly the wise ole lady in the middle of the two shorthairs passed recently, her name was Hannah. Reason I love these pics is twofold, but you just get the MAIN reason I love them. See how Hannah leans into the male gsp? For those unfamiliar, she cannot stand/sit up on her own power, and this young gentleman learned, and loved, ON HIS OWN with no teaching from Denise LeBleu, to help his sweet ole friend and sister....He had her back!!!! And to me that speaks VOLUMES on this breed of dog I have come to love and revere...and besides that it is just a sweet and loving picture...Isnt it???
