One of my spiritual daughters was ministering Sunday about Apostle Paul’s shipwreck. She mentioned Paul’s escape from the perils of sea by sailing to the island on a plank. Holy Spirit ministered that plank to me for so long that I was afraid I was going to miss the remainder of her message. (Prophets, you know how it is. You hear one message but Holy Spirit is preaching something else to you!) The Lord ministered to my spirit that our shipwrecks in life are just like Paul’s. They were designed to drown us and leave us dead in the sea but thank God for the planks; those little jagged edged pieces of the wreckage that we can use to find safety. In every shipwreck of life there is at least one plank you can use from that devastating and near death experience to get you over to the other side of through. Your ‘plank’ could be that one somebody who is totally clueless to what you’re going through but they muster the courage to go out of their way to say a kind word to you. Your ‘plank’ could be a person who was on the ship with you when it capsized and found a way to escape the storm and came back to rescue you. Your ‘plank’ could be the person who knew what was said about you was a lie and decided to stand up and speak the truth. Your ‘plank’ could be the least person you would ever expect to come through for you when you needed it the most. Do you have a ‘plank’? Do you realize that even if the Lord allowed a shipwreck in your life that the pieces that couldn’t hold you would float away and the pieces that fit you will gravitate to you? Do you know that you only need a few planks to make it through raging seas? Do you know that the Lord will make certain that there will be a plank to carry you to safety during your shipwreck? Friend, I give God praise because I’ve had a shipwreck or two in my life and let me tell you, God sent me a couple of planks who were sturdy, reliable, waterproof, and durable.. They helped me make it through my raging seas and they saw to it that I was standing on solid ground. God’s rescue team looks nothing like what you think. He may not send a ship for you; He may send you a couple of planks. Don’t miss it.
