One of our clients and close friends Kate Williams has a wonderful new addition to her life - cue Billy the Romanian rescue dog! We think hes adorable and cant wait to see him this Saturday for his first checks. His story is quite remarkable: Billys mum Nahla was rescued from a kill shelter in Romania. She was very thin and very young (about 1). She was put into a pension and funded by a rescue charity called Save & Care Dog Rescue. After a few days the charity had a phone call to say that Nahla was giving birth! She delivered 5 tiny puppies. No one had any idea Nahla was pregnant: she was thin and malnourished but also quite active and bouncy! The puppies were the size of newborn kittens and they did so well to survive. They all now have homes in the UK and so does Nahla. The only one that knows who Billys dad is is Nahla, so goodness knows what he will look like when hes fully grown! Kate spotted him on the Save and Care page on FB and looked into having him. It took a little while as he couldnt travel before all his vaccinations had been done but he was collected last Sunday from Exeter, is settling in well and is very loving and intelligent. We look forward to meeting you on Saturday Billy, well make sure were fully stocked on liver treats!
