One of our last entries in the Visitor Book- "We have had a great stay here and enjoyed largely dry weather. The cottage has been a lovely home from home and a perfect location from which to explore so many interesting places. Our highlights have been: Jorvik Viking Centre & Dig in York; John Bull Candy Factory near Bridlington (we were surprised at how good this was and what good value – children can even make their own personalised stick of rock); Nunnington Hall Gardens – plenty for children to do; The Forbidden Corner, 1 hr 20 mins away near Middleham but well worth the drive. Tremendous fun for everyone but call to book in advance. If the weather is bad Water World just by Monks Cross Park & Ride (York) is brilliant.
