One of reasons the embattled Minister of Aviation thinks the purchase of the N255m armoured cars did not violate the existing laws is because the vehicles documents do not bear her name. Hear her: It is totally untrue; there is nothing reflecting my name. The cars were not registered in my name. All I did was approve based on the proposal sent to me on lease financing by the NCAA Nothing could be more puerile and ludicrous than this! Not even her unconvincing defence that the said money was meant to be paid within the period of 36month could exonerate her from that breach of due process. At best, what she did was splitting of contract (an offence the ex-NPA boss, Olabode George was convicted and jailed) which is even more gravious offence! Now that all the facts have been laid before the public domain, will her employer (Abuja) do the needful of showing her the exist door?
