One of the best things I heard on radio all year was this interview between two Long Island guys: Alec Baldwin and Billy Joel. Its from Baldwins show Heres the Thing. I heard it again on WGBH-FM about mid-day Christmas driving home from my morning gigs. Ive always respected Joels craft - even when annoyed by some of his Ive got a chip-on-my-shoulder lyrics (with the middle eight my advice to you section). But even if youre not a Billy Joel fan, I think youll find it fun to hear him and Alec Baldwin go back and forth in a free-wheeling (note the picture below) conversation.
