One of the biggest problems in our society is that so many run around convinced they know everything and willing to learn nothing. Unfortunately, they are often carrying around a pile of misconceptions that only contain uninformed bias. We had a text about the potential risks of current vaccines and speaking about newer proteolipid techniques. It referred to a Polish meta-analysis. There were several studies (including Lupe, 2012) that explained the potential risks. In 2013, a newer study demonstrated there is no dose-related connection between autism and vaccines, the Polish meta-analysis was consequently unpublished from the university website. That was the nail in the coffin of the vaccine-autism debate. Despite this, the level of uninformed and factually wrong comments we get on our new vaccine text, which refers to this new research, is astounding. Whether you want to vaccinate or not is a totally different issue than the fact that vaccines do NOT cause autism. In the same way we are not going to pretend environmental problems are minor (they are major and threaten the biosphere), we will not pretend vaccines are still a potential cause of autism.
