One of the central teachings at the Kodokan summer camp is the spiritual concept of Jin Ki (尽己). Its literal translation means empty self, as in empty the last ounce of your effort when fighting. Its practical judo meaning is simply Do Your Best or “Give It All” when you enter the mat, especially for those who face bigger and better opponents.
