One of the elementary schools incentives for the Marathon was the opportunity to take the place of the principal or a teacher for the day. Fifth graders Julia Helget and Madison Mathiowetz earned this incentive by bringing in the most pledges (Julia) and bringing in the highest dollar amount (Madison). Both girls opted to take over the elementary library, reading to the younger students, checking out books, creating a wall display and assisting with an art project!
