One of the items Id really like to cross off on my bucket list is getting a shelter dog adopted. Today Id like to introduce you to Rusty! As you can see, my foster parents adore him. He joins them on the hike and bike trail regularly for jogs and long walks. He is a great exercise partner, and would be perfect for an active owner. He has great trail manners, and will ignore other dogs, bikes, and the occasional police horse. He loves the water! He likes to dunk his entire head under, and roll around, whether he is in a tiny kiddie pool, or out on the lake. He has had numerous pack walks with other dogs, and really enjoys their company. He has played with a couple of dogs at the shelter, and could probably live with a canine sibling. He has a hard time at the shelter, especially when he doesnt get adequate exercise. He has been there for 127 days now. My foster parents are very invested in this handsome, exuberant guy, so if you or anyone you know would like to meet him, please let us know! They would be thrilled to introduce him to you. Rusty is located at the Town Lake location of Austin Animal Center in kennel 22. Please share this post, and help me cross this item off my list!
