One of the most difficult task is when you cannot give more than what you can. Since I took over as Mayor in 2010, During the Dinagyang especially on the Sunday Ati Tribe Competition, all seats have already been occupied by the same persons since 2001. Unfortunately, the Grandstand does not grow neither does it expand. Each year as the Dinagyang grows and becomes more exciting, People (family, relatives, business associates and bestfriends, close friends, acquaintances) would always ask from me, or to buy for them tickets at the freedom grandstand. Well, I AM SORRY TO SAY THAT I HAVE NO FREEDOM GRANDSTAND TICKETS. MY HECTIC AND VERY TIGHT SCHEDULE DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO BE INDIVIDUALLY ASSIGNING OR SELL TICKETS. Since the time of Cong Jerry Treñas when he was still Mayor, I am just glad that it is still MR. FRANCIS CRUZ (And he is doing a fantastic job) who is in charge of the grandstand and the tickets. For those STAGE tickets that are for sale its the DINAGYANG FOUNDATION who sells these tickets and I was informed that these tickets are all sold out. One may say that I am the Mayor and all I have to do is just to call or ask Francis and/or the Dinagyang foundation to get me those tickets. The thing is there are no more tickets and there is nothing else that I can do but hope that next year we can build and transfer to a bigger grandstand that has more seating capacity. BUT FOR THE MEANTIME, I AM SORRY TO SAY THAT THERE ARE NO MORE AVAILABLE TICKETS. PLEASE DONT BOTHER TO ASK/CALL/PM OR TEXT ME ABOUT IT. I am hoping for your kind understanding.
