One of the things I love about Yonkers Victorian Era homes is the use of stained glass integrated into the designs of many homes. There were a couple of studios that produced the bulk of the local work, but you can see why it was popular. Here is a photo of the stained glass above the main staircase in my own home. These massive 7+ foot windows were created in 1897 and the yellowish color palates are designed to make the room look sunny even on a gray day like today! Now thats smart!
