While waiting for a sought-after nature center resident - a Red-bellied Woodpecker - this bird came into the grove, moved up and down from branch to limb and hopped on this branch next to my statue position. I only had time to shift the focus point onto its head; had I zoomed out I would have lost the moment. We all know - thats birding. (^_^) And the truth that birds if left to their own devices, though ever wary, may allow close encounters since they wouldnt feel threatened,
