One quick political statement from me, since I got dissed trying - TopicsExpress

One quick political statement from me, since I got dissed trying to get a message out to media in rebuttal to something else they had published, and apparently got censored. Somebody couldnt handle the truth... Ive come to the realization that our local media outlets are certainly politically biased and choose to post only what lines up with their agendas. That sucks. I sent in a rebuttal to Kristin Hendersons complete crap letter to the editor (regarding the Utilities/County Charter Amendment) where she so completely misrepresented to facts to line up with her version of the truth. I left my opinion out of the rebuttal and simply stated the actual story, being an actual employee of the Dept. of Public Utilities and all. She was way off base, but her letter got published. It was a serious case of snake-in-the-grass, underhanded and deceitful politics. It was the sort of crap that makes your stomach churn with politicians. Worse, she sent the letter, with her whole reasoning why we should vote the way she does, to my WORK EMAIL address!!! Really, a County councilor sending their political views and recommendations on how we should vote to County employees? Thats messed up, and I think illegal, since my office is just down the hall from the polls. Anyway, I would call myself a very moderate and conservative Democrat (reluctantly...), but this a time where I gotta side with a more smaller government philosophy. The utility rate-payers shouldnt be burdened with unsolicited fee levies from the County, on top of the already-expensive utility fees. Utility rates are most certainly going to go up without those additional fees. Taxpayers should be able to approve what it is theyre being taxed on. We ought not rob from Peter to pay Paul. --Larry the Cable Guy
