One thought popping into my head lately - pronunciations. The one that always got me was Lieutenant - I could understand the Americans pronouncing it loo-tenant but it always felt weird whenever Patrick Stewart said it like that, being English (regardless of the fact that J-LP is French!). Though clearly they needed a BBC-like pronunciation department telling them how to say things as the number of times you hear a character using different pronunciation to everyone else in the episode...I need to go to sleep.
