One week to go ! and we are all enjoying this show. Its stretching the actors to play the classic personalities with the necessary deportment and accents but thats a good thing as they are even surprising themselves. There is new talent on stage, some who have not taken a role for years but you wouldnt know it. Mike Pyefinch is doing so well taking on a completely new character in Jack and Karen Hughes is a natural and relaxed actress playing the sweet Cecily. James Graves is relishing Algernon and Beverley Pearce is lovely as Miss Prism. Kerry Girdwood plays a confidant Lady Bracknell, and Linda Kerfoot is enjoying playing Gwendoline and it shows. Two butlers and a footman are played by Chris Northover, Ron Chapman, and Trent Jones. Then there is Mark Rayner as Canon Chasuble, Mark is enjoying this small but important role and being disguised again as a character while also directing the show. Mark is loving the energy of this show, the talent, and the artistic visuals TIOBE requires. Mark is on the final countdown for the set, its shaping up very nicely and is striking in black and white with gentle washes of colour. He is re-modelling furniture currently and allowing finishing touches to flow in an organic way. Mark has really spread huge print media for this show, and as he says he can put an interesting pic to his updates to document progress, and as you can see just from here on Facebook, it is good to watch the roll out. Thanks to Dee Brough for her usual great prompt assistance, and the crew of 9 in various areas are doing a wonderful job, also adding more to their usual tasks for this show. Opening night 23rd August is dress up night, prizes for best overall, best female and best male, and sales for that evening are robust so dont miss out if you are thinking of joining in. We are also quietly putting thought to our next production A Christmas Carol for November. A fresh script written by Mark Rayner will put a new twist on another classic, so watch for audition times, or email to register interest early. Our email address is at the top of the page.
