One year ago I was on Neil Cavutos Your World program (link below) to discuss the increase in my health insurance premiums as a result of Obamacare. My one year reprieve is up and this week I was notified that my health insurance premium is being increased to $1000.37 per month. When I called Anthem BC/BS to discuss a change to another, less expensive plan I was told there was no other plan. Because of the coverage mandated by the AHA my only option is to go to the government website where, after searching for me, ( because I refuse to suffer the indignity of spending my own time doing it to come up with a foreknown conclusion) I was told that my least expensive Obamacare option will cost me $1270.00/Month with a $12,000 annual deductible. When I commented to the BC/BS representative that the Affordable Heathcare Act was not affordable for me he said No Ms Chiero, it doesnt work for everyone. No indeed. Next call? Neil.
