One year ago this week I started my natural hair journey. I had less than 3 inches of hair. Wasnt sure if I made the right decision. Golda, my stylist, stepped into the role as a major support system. In these last 12 mons, Ive run the gambit of emotions. There were times I couldnt look at what I thought was an untamed, unruly bush as nothing but just that UNTAMED & UNRULY. Though ever patient, Golda has gently encouraged me to see my hair the way others saw it. Naturally Beautiful. She also reminded me of how blessed I was. Im blessed that my hair has always recovered quickly once I stopped doing things that were harmful. Cutting my hair was never tramatic for me because it grows back rather quickly. As I got older, I knew Id experience some thinning as a result of change in hormones, I started this journey to prevent permanent damage to my hair folicles and scalp. Once I told Golda why I was going natural, she took over to make sure Id end up with a healthly head of hair. Now when I look in the mirror, I smile. I love my hair and know that I made the right decision. My hair is now healthy and doing what it was meant to do BE NATURAL!!!!
