One year ago today I almost lost my best friend and soulmate. Luckily the good Lord above was not ready for him to come home yet and I was able to keep him in my life. Who would have ever guessed that exactly a year later we would be getting ready to welcome our first child into the world in 6 weeks. It has been a long ride but neither of us would change what happened for the world. It brought us even closer as a couple and I love him more today then I even thought possible. It was such an amazing experience to watch the Lord work on Miles throughout his recovery. We definitely never would have thought that one week less than a year from his accident that the doctors would release him for good. A huge thank you to everyone that was involved in this journey with us and know that we love each and every one of you. I am not about to tag people because there were so many that I would never be able to get everyone in. I would like everyone to remember his crew today as well because even though Miles will never remember what happened that day, it will forever be in their minds. A huge thank you to all the medical staff that first responded (first responders, ambulance, etc) that day and all the great doctors and staff at the Johnson City Medical Center and Shepherd Center in Atlanta.
