One year ago today... I lost someone very special. A very brave man who I know loved me and believed in me often times more than I did myself. September 4th 2013 I lost my Dad Thomas Zimmerman in his fight against metastatic melanoma. He was only 67 years old. Far too young to have his life cut so short. Please always wear sun block. Protect your skin. Keep an eye on anything new or irregular that appears on your body. My dad Tom had a mole on his shoulder that was removed. but he didnt get further treatment because he had a great fear of doctors and modern medicine. This decision eventually cost him his life as that one point of concern spread to 8 other places in his body within a year. From the time he was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma he only lived 3 more months. I am thankful for those months as we shared so much. I only wish he hadnt suffered so much. Be aware... Melanoma can happen to any of us. Dont be afraid to protect your life. It is precious to everyone who knows and loves you. I miss my dad tom everyday and I miss every memory we missed out on making. Here is a song that I listened to with him on the last night he was with us. He really enjoyed music that night. Continue to rest in peace... We all love you so much.
