One year ago today I was at my job at a Grocery Store, wrapping up for the end of my shift and getting ready to come in at 4am on New Years Day because that was my job, thats what I did to pay the bills. I had lots of friends who worked there and friends who didnt. I wasnt unhappy with my spot in life, but I always knew that this wasnt where I was meant to be. Today, I sit in a Hotel room putting together the finishing touches of an event that I am primarily in charge of making happen. We have a whole team that puts it together, but Im the lead on the event. Starting tomorrow and over the next few days Im going to bring 100 of my close friends, and 1500+ of a community that I love to my event a throw a 3 day long party for all of them. A well planned, structured, but chaotic and crazy party. I get to do this more times this coming year than I can even count right now. I do it because now this is my job, this is what I do to pay the bills. Not only that, but I love making this all happen. 2014 was a big year for me. More has changed in the last year (heck, the last 6 months) than has probably ever in my entire life. Im barely able to keep up with how fast things are going, and Im really excited to tackle whats next. Im excited to have to flexibility to try now things and make things more awesome. Im excited to have an impact on so many lives, and to have all of those people impact mine as well. Im really excited for what 2015 has in store. Is this where Im meant to be? If not, it sure isnt a bad place to be in the meantime.
