Only 4 more days until I go back to orthopeadic surgeon and find out what he will do to my foot! Been a long wait since the end of April! :) MRI showed that I have totally torn the peroneus longus tendon (the big tendon going down side of calf and around ankle to bottom of foot. Its totally torn with a 7 cm gap between the ends... Then theres an osteochondral injury of the medial talor dome etc etc.....or as the physio said...Youve smashed the leg bones through the cartilage and into the foot bone, taking a layer of bone off the foot bone and theres bone marrow oedema, Ouch. Then theres a lobulated muti septated ganglian ( which is nothing :) ) ...and severe osteo-arthritis in TMT joints...the bones in top of foot above the toes. Its destroyed all the cartilage of 4 TMT joints and theres cystic changes and oedema down into the bone marrow. Sooooo, standing and walking is not an easy thing to do at the moment! :)
