Only a matter of time before I got busted. When some random tries to speak to me and I cant be bothered, I just start talking in French and act as if I have no idea what they are trying to say to me. I was at the shops tonight and an African guy standing next to me in the cheese section asks how I am and what my name is. I answer in French, saying sorry but I dont understand what youre saying. He replies,in French- You are french? Brilliant. Maybe we can go get a coffee? I am stuck. Think quick..... I look at him and in English I say - I dont understand what youre saying. Ive never seen anyone look so confused. I quickly walk away. Im an idiot. I should know better than to try and be tricky with an African. Most of them speak French.
