Open Door Policy, affectionately abbreviated ODP is beautifully - TopicsExpress

Open Door Policy, affectionately abbreviated ODP is beautifully tucked in the quiet but vibrant (does that make sense? You know, you know) Yong Siak road. You get that pleasant surprise when you first step in. A nice first impression. The depth with an eclectic furnishing of glass, metal, bricks, used boardwalks. A row of brightly coloured bar chairs sets juxtapose the industrial loft space. An open kitchen adds an air of hustle and bustle, the abundance of natural light floors the deep but narrow space. Very New York meets Melbourne. Food menu is comprehensive and at first read, intriguing. Highlights for me, the lamb spring roll as well scathe sous vide octopus salad. Lobster soup was decent but not much of a character. Overall, food plating brings a smile and seeks to impress. In my honest opinion, ODP is great for a nice luncheon or a intimate gathering. They got it right with the look, the music, the ambience. However, I think prices are way too steep relative to way is being served. I may visit again, but whether it is one of the best places Ive been to that has achieved equilibrium with product offering as pricing, I dont think so. Still, a great enclave for a nice sunny afternoon food affair. Worth a visit. Overall rating: 7/10 Open Door Policy 19 Yong Siak Street Singapore 168 650 6221 9307
