Open enrollment for Covered California is now closed until October 1, 2014. However, families and individuals who qualify for Medi-cal may still apply. For those who wish to apply to Medi-cal must bring the following for enrollment on the spot: ID Card issued by federal, state or local government/school ID proof of US citizenship: birth certificate/certificate of citizenship/certificate of naturalization/passport or proof of legal residency (green card) proof of current address-utility bill/phone bills/rental agreement children: school enrollment letter will suffice proof of income: most recent income tax forms, pay stubs, paychecks, agency letter showing money received such as SSI, SSD, child support/unemployment/alimony/retirement/self employment bookkeeping records recent medical expenses
