Open letter to Kwabena Nixon 5 years ago I walked into PU and knew I had found someplace special. I was sure I had found the hidden keys to my voice,my passion and my purpose. 4 years ago I had become comfortable and creative. You helped me design the blueprint to the PoetryPusher. Like clockwork, every Tuesday, I left my house to come to place I called home. 3 years ago I started dreaming. Preparing. Learning. Taking notes and getting my mold ready. 2 years ago I spread my wings and flew from the nest to build my own set. The pride you had was unmistakable, knowing it did not end in failure, but circumstances. You never changed the locks on me. In my absence, you made sure I knew I always had someplace to come back to. A year ago I questioned my dream. I tested my faith. I asked you if I should quit and you made me talk to my greatness. Last night and moving forward, I realized that I am HERE. My vision is clear. My preparation paid off. My 5 year goal has been completed & now time to exceed it. I am still learning but I am now teaching. Thank you for believing in me and my capabilities. I will not let you down. Sincerely, Adia.
