Open net Atlantic salmon farming in our area continues to threaten - TopicsExpress

Open net Atlantic salmon farming in our area continues to threaten our wild salmon stocks in British Columbia. Disease and viruses are easily passed from the penned Atlantic salmon to our Pacific Wild salmon which are vital for the entire coastal ecosystem. There are currently two new applications pending for salmon farms in the area near the lodge. I urge guests that have been to the lodge or anyone with an interest in the area to please voice their opinion on the tourism value of the area. arfd.gov.bc.ca/ApplicationPosting/viewpost.jsp?PostID=47998 (Comment link on the bottom of the page) Thank you for your support
