Opinion: Was I the only one to have watched with horror as Brett Cowan was sentenced to 20 years jail for the murder of little Daniel Morcombe? A life sentence should mean for the term of his natural life. If lenient sentencing equates to violent crime in this country then clearly we are going to have a problem, especially when the judge feels the need to justify the sentence. To Daniels mum and dad, we can never understand what you have endured, but know that there is a whole continent of people thinking of you.
