Oppressed people can not remain oppressed forever, the yearnings - TopicsExpress

Oppressed people can not remain oppressed forever, the yearnings of freedom eventually manifests itself. History has shown that privileged groups seldom give up their privileges voluntarily. Kenyans have borne the burden of this privileged group, while suffering gross injustices and shameful humiliations. Every election cycle, we have been treated to propaganda and lies, we have been promised heaven, but taken to hell. Our tribal differences have been magnified to conceal the selfish ambitions of those seeking power. The truth is that, we are all caught up in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny, whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. Perhaps it is easy for those who have never experienced the stinging pain hunger, poverty, disease to say, wait. But when you have invested all your resources in taking your children to school, and they cant find employment, when you have loved ones die due to insecurity, when you have been denied an opportunity because of your tribe, watched loved ones die because you cant afford the cost of their treatment-then you will understand why you cant wait. There comes a time when the cup of endurance runs over, and men are no-longer willing to endure more oppression. This is the time that we must rise and demand our freedom. We hold hold these truths to be self-evident, that all Kenyans are created equal, from the hills of mt. Kenya, to the shores of lake Victoria, from the Valleys of the great rift, to the plains of Mombasa, we all must be treated with dignity and respect. We all deserve a fair chance.
