This is a part, from a protest letter send to the former Chancellor Schröder regarding banning or destruction of our bull breeds in which I described the setting and situation in Finland. Here in Finland we dont have this so-called fighting dog problem. Perhaps we have other bull terrier breeds here, or perhaps our press simply deals with much more important things than this kind of hysteria. We dont have any fighting dogs here - just dogs, and the standard bull terrier is described here by children as MOOMINDOG. We certainly find this more corresponding with its character. We want to appeal to Germany; please dont put on the old shoes from -38 once again! Be more critical and dont believe everything printed in “brown“ and white! Or is it possible, that the wish for race discrimination is so big, that some people doesn´t care whether it is people, dogs or rabbits being banned? This attitude makes history very visible – take a good look in the mirror and think twice! Should however all this breeds being banished from the German dog world, to be fair, the German shepherd had to lead the top of the forbidden dogs.
