Oreo was surrendered to the Manhattan ACC because her family was moving to a place where Oreo was not welcome. This abandonment has clearly impacted this young lady! A volunteer writes: Oreo is wise and weary beyond her years and the sadness in her downcast eyes says it all, this gentle girl is fast losing hope. Surrendered by the only owners she has ever known, Oreos intake sheet tells the story of a wonderful family pet. She is both paper and house trained and will jump to the window to alert you of her need to go. Shes lived in harmony with other dogs and tends to ignore cats. Friendly to both strangers and children, Oreo knows sit and stay and she likes to sleep on the bed. Who wouldnt do all they could to keep such a well-behaved and amiable companion?...
