Organized? Excel at implementation and follow through? Mature? Love art? PDP Area seeks a good work-study student to run the day to day operations of the area (PDP Area Assistant). If anyone qualifies for Work Study and is interested in a position in the School of Art and Art History let Bradlee Shanks know ASAP! Clerical, maintenance and organizational skills are helpful. List of Tasks / Areas of supervision: -Purchase supplies at beginning of semester, and throughout term as requested. This requires trips to AOE, ACE Hardware, and Home Depot. -Monitor supplies to make sure area does not run out of anything vital. -Keep track of DPP budget and enter spending on the ledger. -Turn in all receipts and purchase orders to Tiffany in COTA finance office. -Keep copies of receipts and packing slips. -Assist Maureen with hiring of new models. -Coordinate Life Models - set up appropriate online forms each semester - email models to get them signed up each week - send an announcement of how many sessions are left for each prof at midterm and near end of semester - distribute code of conduct to models and instructors -Inform Maureen of the scheduled model so that they get paid. -Update DPP Google site. -Place schedules on doors at the beginning of semester. -Develop display case schedule. -Monitor Honors Painting studios, assuring that the Honors students follow Fire Code. -Create and enforce Laundry schedule. -Schedule beginning/end of semester clean ups. -Clean or assign maintence of the following areas: -292 Closet -Yellow Flammable Cabinets -281 Supply Cabinet -284 Closet -Still Life Storage -292 Painting Racks -Constantly check for FIre Code violations and make sure that people are aware of the Fire Code. -Empty oiled rag containers from 292 (preferably daily M-Th) and place in Printmaking Drums. -Monitor liquid solvent disposal container and turn in Physical Plant pick up tags when needed. -Coordinate with Maureen when work orders are needed (floor waxing, clogged sinks, leaking ceilings, etc.) -Keep and updated list of the DPP Library. -Try to fix things that break. (i.e. easels) -Organize the hanging of Art Work for Art House, this might also include preliminary cleaning/painting to prep. -Take down art work from Art House. -Check for burnt out lights in studios. Change when needed. -Collect Syllabi from instructors to add to the DPP database. -Replace HEPA Filters. This is a big position and we seek someone really good.
