Os últimos 3 dias foram tensos e complicados aqui na Guiana. Não relatamos nada para não deixar nossos familiares e amigos preocupados. Tivemos nosso motorhome apreendido no terminal da balsa na saída da Guiana porque não tinhamos o carimbo de entrada do nosso carro em Lethem, pois passamos pelo escritório e estava fechado. Ficamos 3 dias presos no terminal sem poder sair. A chave do nosso carro ficou em poder das autoridades, uma situação muito ruim, pois fomos hostilizados e maltratados pelos oficiais da Imigração e Custom sem a menor necessidade. Hoje, no meio da tarde, depois da intervenção da Emabixada do Brasil em Gerogetown através da funcionária Andressa Meirelles Basilio que cuidou pessoalmente do nosso caso, conseguimos a liberação do veículo. Agradecemos imensamente o trabalho da embaixada, especialmente da Andressa e os outros funcionários em relação ao nosso caso. A foto é da nossa saída do terminal, já embarcados na balsa com destino ao Suriname. ALIVIO ! PS: Eles não devolveram a chave do carro, tive que usar a reserva ! Our RV received a Notice of Detention in the ferry terminal beside the river because we didn have the stamp from Lethem. The office was closed when we passed there. They also took the car key to make sure it wouldnt move. We stayed for 3 days arrested inside the terminal having a bad treatment from the Imigration and Customs officers. There wasnt no reason for that but the situation was tuff ! This afternoon, after the Brazilian Embassy intermission we had our RV released. We would like to say thank you for the embassy employees, specially Andressa that took care of our case personally. The picture shows the moment we left the terminal on the way to Suriname. RELIEF ! PS: They didnt give the car key back, I had to hse the spare one !!
