Osu! You are invited to an AYANA Aikido class hosted by the Michigan State University Aikido Club in honor of the recently passed Jerome Helton-sensei. This class is open to current and former AYANA students, with spectators being welcome. The memorial class will take place in the MSU IM West Martial Arts Room at 2pm on Sunday, July 13th (393 Chestnut Rd., East Lansing, MI 48824). The day happens to be Jerome Senseis birthday. The class will be led by former MSU student and instructor Alan Hunt. The class fee is $20 (but is not limited to that amount) with all money collected going to the Sensei Jerome Helton Memorial Fund. This fee is for spectators as well as participants, with the exception of children and members of Jerome Senseis family in attendance. Please make checks payable to the Sensei Jerome Helton Memorial Fund. There will be dinner afterwards at Emils Italian Restaurant in Lansing. Emils is the traditional post class/test restaurant for the MSU Aikido Club. The dinner is scheduled to start at 4:00 pm. Cost of the dinner/party will be based on individual menu selection.
