Our CEO Jack just ran into a young guy called Ben Levy, and his mum Renee, outside the Parliament of NSW. Cool story - a few years back, Ben decided to do his school assignment on Indigenous Australia and AIME. Later when Ben celebrated his bar mitzvah, he chose to donate the money he received to AIME. Thats a pretty special gift from a 13 year-old kid. This afternoon when they caught up, Jack told Ben and Renee that were now working with 3,500 kids... and Ben reminded Jack that back when he did his assignment, we were working with 500 kids. It was one of those moments where someone reminds you to look back down the road youve walked, take stock, and smile. Weve got a long road ahead to reach 10,000 Indigenous kids across the country by 2018, but in this moment, Jack and AIME just wanted to send a shout out to everyone whos helped see the program grow to where it is today. Thanks to Ben and Renee, and the thousands of others who have walked with us.
