Our Crane Concierge received this query recently. Whats your advice? My fiances parents are paying for the entire wedding. I have no parents (my mother is deceased and I do not have any contact with my father). We wanted to honor her on the invitation, however after speaking to a few people I see that is deemed inappropriate. I am close with my aunt and uncle but they arent hosting the wedding. I am sure my mother-in-law would feel uncomfortable having them on the invitation due to financial involvement, but what is the correct thing to do?
