Our Union recently participated in the 1st International Power Unions Congress in Dublin. Participants who attended from Australia will furnish a full report in the next few weeks but one of the key resolution coming from the congress was to support our Comrades in Mexico with their ongoing fight against the Government over the sacking of thousands of their members in the Electricity Supply Industry. On the 17th October, all Unions in attendance (23 Countries) have committed to hold protests outside their respective Mexican Embassies, in our case, in Canberra. (14 Perth Ave, Yarralumla ACT). Our National Office is coordinating State Branches who wish to send along a delegation to show strong support for our comrades in Mexico.
