Our beloved Max, a true champion in the things that mattered, died - TopicsExpress

Our beloved Max, a true champion in the things that mattered, died yesterday at 6:30 pm. He was gentle, sweet and loyal to the very end. He went to Heaven in our home. Last Wishes came to our home to give the final medicine. My Husband wept like a baby, and I cried harder than I probably ever cried. I cannot explain the heartbreak, but if you’ve been through it, you know. It was gut wrenching. But, I knew it was the right thing. We hugged and kissed him and marveled at how perfectly peaceful and beautiful he looked. We were the lucky ones, to have him as a part of our family. Run swiftly again, my Boy, and run without pain. The birds, squirrels and balls are plentiful, and you can play all day every day. I would of done anything to be able to fix you! But, I could not hold on for a miracle any longer and watch you suffer. It was time. The hardest about losing your loved one is there is absolutely nothing you can do to bring them back. There are no extra opportunities for a last hug, there are more more chances to take a walk in the park… What we do have, however, is the spirit that lives on – the memories and energy and unconditional love of Max that remains steadfastly in our hearts forever! Oh, how I miss you Boy! We love you!
