Our client is looking for a dynamic individual to take up the role of Executive Manager – B-Vehicles Programmes and become a part of their team. PURPOSE OF JOB To Establish and implement the strategy of positioning as a strategic capability and making Military B-Vehicles part of the Product Portfolio. This includes the planning and establishment of the required facilities, personnel and infrastructure for the support and acquisition of the SANDF Military B-Vehicles Fleet as well as mine protected vehicles for other clients. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Primary responsibility Establishing and Managing the Vehicle Business to become a strategic capability and profitable business in the medium to long term. • Strategic Management Determine, define, agree and implement a strategic direction for the Military and other Vehicle Business. Influence Decision makers to support the strategy. Actively participate as part of the Operations Team to develop and implement the Strategy and Business Plan. Negotiate and manage program strategic alliances/agreements in conjunction with Business Development. Establish appropriate support structures/dealership networks. Establish appropriate policies and procedures. • Contract/Programme /Project Management Integrate, compile, oversee and recommend contract proposals (terms and conditions) including Technical Definition, Delivery Schedules and Pricing. Conduct contract negotiations. Acquire and manage the execution of contracts. • Facility and Line Management Plan, budget, and implement the required facilities, personnel and infrastructure to support the Military and other Vehicle Business. This to include: Vehicle Engineering function Program / Project management function Dealer and Supplier infrastructure management Depots, Technical stores and Material management Fleet Management Information system. CRITICAL SKILLS • Acknowledged Project Management Training or proven track-record. • Knowledge and experience in the use of project management tools. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent people management & motivational skills. • Excellent working knowledge of PS Next/PS8/MsProjects will be an advantage. • Good working knowledge of MS Office, Power Point and Outlook. • Must be able to work under pressure. • Must be punctual, reliable, with honesty and integrity. • Must be able to work independently. JOB REQUIREMENTS • Engineering Degree or equivalent. • Masters degree in a Business Management discipline will be an added advantage. • Knowledge of B-Vehicle OEM networks, dealership networks, superstructure and spares suppliers. • Knowledge of the SA Army and/or heavy commercial B-Vehicle maintenance structures and processes. • Demonstrated experience in the successful establishment and management of Military or other B-Vehicle design and support environments, including dealership and supplier networks, integrated logistic support systems, fleet management and Management of information systems.
