Our concert with the Heart of Texas Band went smashingly! I was very pleased with my performance and got an standing ovation right away. The band did a fabulous job, especially on Robert James Dvoraks West Point Symphony. I signed many autographs and spoke to many people who enjoyed the Schmidt Festival Concerto. Its nice to be part of a premiere performance. There will be videos and lots of pictures to come. This was one of the best concerts I have ever been a part of and Im very happy. Mark Rogers and I are already talking about a return engagement - an arrangement of Dohnanyis Variations on a Nursery Song for piano and band by Randol Alan Bass. I played the work with the Metropolitan Symphony many years ago and would be very happy to play it again.
