Our dear friend and colleague Isabella Niehaus will be hosting Lunch on the Dune In Langebaan on Sunday, 25 May starting at 12 noon. It is never just a wonderful lunch, but always an extraordinary experience with the amazing sounds of the ocean as the only background music and a small strip of Fynbos as the barrier between you and the beach! What you can expect… Small treats and a cocktail on arrival followed by fresh Saldanha Oysters (shucked while you’re waiting) and a chilled glass of bubbly. Next: mussels steamed in white wine, with a touch of cream and served with freshly baked vetkoek. House salad of greens, seeds and roasted tomatoes. Fresh line fish or a hearty meat dish (top secret recipe!!!) served with sweet potatoes in a cardamom cream sauce, beans and broccoli with shaved almonds and pear marinated in red wine. Dessert is delicious a medley of chocolate tart, the best cheesecake and ice cream of the day. COST: R400 per person. Please bring your own wine (delicious cocktail and bubbly on the house). There will be a great selection of wines from Cederberg , Tulbagh and Durbanville available to purchase.
