Our dear mom and grandmother, Doris Marie Michael, went to be with Jesus while visiting her home this week. She lived with my mother in Jackson, and they had spent the night at her home Sunday night. She died in her bed at home on the farm just as she would have chosen. She was sweet, spunky, wise, lovely and joyful. She was crazy about her husband, kids and grand kids. My favorite picture of me with her is on the tire swing. She climbed on to have fun and play with me even though her white pants would inevitably be black when she got down. This is the way she intentionally lived her life. She chose the good and the relationship no matter what the cost. She was known for riding three wheelers with her grand kids, beating us in board games and Nintendo, and being full of attentive, present love. She will be missed greatly by us all. Services will be Thursday at George Smith on N Highland in Jackson. Visitation 11-1. Funeral at 1:00.
