Our faith is being stretched to lengths we did not know exist. - TopicsExpress

Our faith is being stretched to lengths we did not know exist. Waiting is hardest. The presence of encouraging friends is priceless. Several are here from out of state; some from our years in Burkesville, Kentucky. Jacindas room is kept quiet at all times with only the sounds of a babbling brook playing in the background. There is an overall sense of calm and peace in our home. Staying faithful and not succumbing to doubt and fear is an ongoing challenge. I found when those discouraging little thoughts try and worm their way in, I must be diligent and pray them away instantly, lest they rob me of hope. Waiting is hardest. It is difficult beyond description to sit at Jacindas bedside, but theres no place in the world Id rather be. We pray for her and over her, and say I love you night and day. She has had a rough go of it over the years. While it is our greatest desire to see her pain-free, accepting the fact that letting go and living without her to achieve that goal has been one of the most painful positions for any of us to be in. It is my worst. Each of us is experiencing this situation with a different sense of loss (daughter, sister, friend, granddaughter), so we are being sensitive to each others needs as they vary drastically. As I write this, these words come to mind: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever. — Psalm 23:6 #clingingtotheLordforHope Thank you for continued prayers. XOXO There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. — Ecclesiastes 3
